Well I decided to take yesterday off mainly due to the poor run of things recently and the fact I could not really find the time I wanted to sort through what I thought a first glance a tricky card at Ayr.It proved to be yet another costly mistake.I had a couple of noted horses running in the shape of gilbary and last weeks selection beggars cap,well we all know what happend with both horses winning at decent odds and it just shows you really should stick with your methods.

Job one is intresting here especially against a favourite who looks over rated and under priced especially on ground this fast.Job one needs a decent trip on fast ground and the fact he fell in a race he would have struggled to win lto is probably not a bad thing as we get a fresh horse really today which when you look at his past record makes him even more appealing here.Officially he is 10lbs lowr rated here but i think that mark is underated at the moment and his proven ability under these conditions is more of positive anyway.


3.50 stratford

Maria Antonia could be intresting now 2nd run after a lay off.Had some decnet form a couple of years ago in slightly better races than this of higher marks showed nothing first time up but back round a course that suits and on dcecnt ground I can see her going well.Id be intrested especially she is prominent early and if possible I would wait to the start to see how it is likely she will race.

5.00 startford
Leopard hills is normally one I jump at taking on but I very much respect in form horses on faster ground over summer jumps as you tend to find it can count for a lot more and the races tend to be that little bit less competetive.Thats sais he looks no value and the one im intrested in here is James pollard.Theres one run at ffos las taht suggests he looks well treated here,that run was the occasion he found himself racing on the least testing ground he has faced over hurdles so far.Today back on a decnet surface round a sharp 2mile we should see an improved performance he gone well recently on the flat,has been well suported this morning but still happy with around 6/1 with the chance he may drift a little latter on.

530 Stratford
This looks pretty poor id be happy taking heargazer hes fav because he will run his race were a couple of these proabbly wont but I think there is a decent chance a couple will come back to there best form today.
the iron giant was back from a break lto over hurdles and will find things more suitable but katalak is off more intrest firstly we can foprget the recent form on soft ground thats only helped with the mark,his form on decnet ground is much better than anything else we have seen in the race and the fact we have felix de giles back on board and blinkers suggests today is the day we can expect him a return to form.Price is the issues for me though in such a poor event.


4.10 wetheby
Checkerboard is a noted horse travelled very well last time out before blowing up when looking like needing that run,conditions look suitable like the jockey stable in good form.7/2 is a bit tight for me in where you can give all some kind of claims.

4.40 wetherby
Weak race which does look that competive for me cornish castle has solid form for the grade and may improve on his run last time as well.I cant understand why this is not priced up around the 4/1 mark this morning.


3.40 gowran
This looks Catch me race to lose for me the mullins horse is a potential improver but it lacks depth overall.

415 gowran
torpichen looks to just hold the other 2 that look his main dangers here
