Couple of winners from the mention on friday,Just taken the time out of the cheltenham form to look at a couple of races for saturday.Both races are priced up tonight so no problem getting on early as im sure a couple of these will be supported.Personally im going to trading the imperial cup horses in running but for for blog purposes they will be straight win bets lets hope one does the business.

Plenty unexposed potential improvers here but the one I like most is cucumber run.His form lto giving a decent horse weight is a solid performance he should be well suited to ground conditions and a stiff test over a trip like this looks ideal at the moment.The mark looks fair on what he has achieved so far and I would be dissapointed if he does not improve again.

Just as competetive as always this my shortlist consists of 6 horses which are arrayan , ultimate , song of songs drill sergant alazari and old way.
Arrayan was an unluck loser lto when his jockey unseated after jumping the last hurdle im sure there is plenty more improvement to be had here and connections always have to warrant serious respect however he is just to short for a horse who has never raced on this surface before in a competetive fastly ran handicap.
Ultimate is the solid handicaper that has plenty in his favour here I cant really put anyone of him except recent history suggest you need a horse who is a good few lbs ahead of the handicaper to take this and im just not totally convinced he has that in hand expect he will run respectable without winning.
Song of songs has been given a chance by the handicapper here and im sure connections are shrewd enough to know this if they can get him back to some decent level of form, a stiff 2 mile on decent ground are his conditons at its intresting the stable pop a visor on today, this is one you could look silly with but it looks far to big a price for me.
Drill sergeant is a horse ive followed since switching to handicaps and im still convinced he has a race in him off his current mark,ive wanted the horse to run round a right handed track on decent ground over a stiff 2mile for a while now and the fact we know have the blinkers and henry brooke on board now suggest there are plenty in his favour to go close today.
Alzari ran a solid race lto in a cheltenham handicap he should come on a little for that experience his best form is with a little cut in it though and thats my biggest concern with him today.
Old way is the novice im most keen had 3 quick runs recently and sneaks in here of bottom weight is out the handicap officialy by a couple of pounds but sure that mark wont be one that is staying with him for long anyway showed a nice attitude lto when winning on heavy ground and although conditions are a lot different today he has ran respectably on a decent surface on the flat previously.
