Great days racing today nice 2 have a couple of decent winners in the first 2 races but just as you think this game is easy cheltenham bring s you back down in the next with none of my runners ever getting a look in and adams island unseating so early.Hurricane fly was pure class and pedlers cross pure heart and hopefully both will stay sound and be around for a good few years yet.
National hunt chase
Not really my type of race but there is one horse in here that does catch my eye and that’s pearly steps has good course form handles decent ground and although unproven over the trip looks in need of him now and staying trips have always been in mind for him.Has made a couple of novice mistakes this seaosn but that’s factored into the price and I don’t think he is behind to many here on form good jockey on board and worth an investment in a race I think the market leaders all have doubts.
Neptune
What price is so young going to be now after the mullins walsh success today not much wrong with him at but is no value at all and opens the market up to a few here.Oscars well was a selection lto but im happy to take on today as this is completely different.Rock on ruby has not stopped improving himself yet and I think conditions look ideal for him here as the decent ground should help him get home better he comes here with solid track form and I cnat see him not involved looks overpriced.Tornando bob is another going the right way and I can see him being well supported in the morning and another who I think will be suited by the faster surface.
RSA
Nothing to add for me here and im becoming more and more confident of a big run from the giant bolster here.
Champion Chase
Price has gone about Sizing Europe now if anything I did not get involved heavily enough now but with that bet in the bag I think it gives us another angle now in the race.Big Zeb is preffered to master minded on this ground but is no price whilst I cant have wolcombe folly untill he has proven himself at this level so im happy to go with Somersby here who has a rock solid profile will handle the ground and for me its his jumping that’s now keeping him in his races more than before,his price is the biggest it has been for a good while and looks fair.
Coral Cup
Secret dancer has rock solid Cheltenham form and ran well at last years festival the step up in trip I think is needed now and Im confident or a decent run. Arcallis can not be ignored under his ideal conditions and Im sure he will be thereabouts again at this years festival only 2lb higher than last year and this trip suits more on decent ground.Lightning Strike is worth a small investment as well shown a bit lto on horrible ground and that hopefully will have put him right for today connections can land a touch now problems in these handicaps and is very well treated on old form.
Fred Winter
Very open event for me this year,Plan a and Whitby jack are both respected but I think the first horse was flattered lto and Whitby jacks hurdling worries me a little.Paintball was a good winner lto has a profile similar to recent winners and should go close.Kayef showed a nice attitude lto and although im a little unsure about the ground I think the race will be ran to suit.Harry hunt is one who I think will like the ground and ill be having a small bet as he could runner better than his odds suggest.
